2024 Excellence In Instruction Nomination
The ECSA Award for Exceptional Instruction is awarded by the ECSA board when a suitable candidate is recommended by the ECSA Junior Chair/Committee.
It is awarded to an instructor teaching at an ECSA member club who demonstrates outstanding sailing instruction and exhibits ethical behavior by both personal example and instruction. S/he must also show a high level of administrative competence, good communicative skills with parents and sailors, creative teaching techniques, responsibility and reliability, initiative, good judgment and leadership, dedication and motivation as well as have good working relationships with peers.
Nominations may come from sailors, parents, and club junior program instructors/leaders.
When nominating, please keep in mind your candidate's behavior over the season, not just a single situation. Approximately 150-200 words for your nomination is sufficient, but commenting more fully is acceptable. You may compose your nomination offline, then copy/paste into the Nomination Narative. Or you may attach a document to the submission.
No further supporting documentation is required now, but we may contact you for more information or to discuss your nomination.
Nominations for 2023 must be submitted by August 18, 2024, 6pm.
