Excellence in Instruction Award
About the Award
The ECSA Award for Excellence in Instruction is awarded by the ECSA board when a suitable candidate is recommended by the ECSA Junior Chair/Committee.
It is awarded to an instructor teaching at an ECSA member club who demonstrates over time outstanding sailing instruction and exhibits ethical behavior by both personal example and instruction. S/he must also show a high level of administrative competence, good communication skills with parents and sailors, creative teaching techniques, responsibility and reliability, initiative, good judgment and leadership, dedication and motivation as well as have good working relationships with peers.
Nominations may come from sailors, parents, and club junior program instructors/leaders.
